A&C Development Company Ltd offers free space for SHAPE Attitude Ghana Exhibition in Accra
The management of A&C Development Company Ltd provided space to SHAPE Attitude Ghana to mount an exhibition in Accra on Friday 27 May 2016. The exhibition was part of the monthly programme of A&C Development Company organised on the last Friday of the month. The exhibition which took place on the premises of A&C Square (formerly A&C Mall) in East Legon, Accra, was aimed at raising awareness and sensitise the population on the dangers of destroying our environment with filth especially, indiscriminate littering and dumping of refuse. It was also to mobilise support for SHAPE Attitudes Ghana by way of advocacy, linkages and resources to run the project.
The products that SHAPE Attitude Ghana exhibited were posters showing materials that are littered on the streets, culverts that are choked with littered materials, leaflets on activities of the project, stickers for school bags and cars and samples of trash bins that are distributed to schools. A practical demonstration was made on how underground water is not well replenished when the ground is filled with plastic materials through littering and as a result water percolation is hampered.
The stand attracted shoppers and visitors to the Square some of whom showed interest and interacted with the SHAPE Attitude personal with questions and answers as well as suggestions on waste management in the country.
The Chairman of A&C Development Company Ltd, Mr Andrew K, Asamoah and his staff have collaborated and supported SHAPE Attitude Ghana right from the inception of the project in 2014 to date. The Company’s support includes technical advice, cash donation and human resource.
The mounting of the exhibition was supported by Mr Andrew K. Asamoah Junior, Ms Akusheka from A&C Development Company Ltd. From Shape Attitude Ghana side were the founder Wonderful Baisie Ghartey accompanied by his spouse, Victoria; Eric Sekyere Appiah; Lord Nelson Ofori and Dr David Essaw
