Effutu MCE Pledges Support from Municipal Assembly for Shape Attitude Ghana

Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah, the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has pledged the support of the Effutu Municipal Assembly to Shape Attitude Ghana, describing the organisation as one of Ghana's leading advocates for environmental cleanliness and behavioural change.
Speaking in an interview on Friday, 5th June, 2026, at the Municipal Assembly Junior High School compound in Winneba after activities marking the 2026 World Environment Day, Hon. Mensah commended Shape Attitude Ghana for its sustained efforts in promoting environmental sanitation, healthy living and responsible citizenship.
According to the MCE, the organisation's impact is widely recognised both within Effutu and beyond. He noted that even before assuming office, he had become aware of Shape Attitude Ghana's contributions to environmental education and community development.
Hon. Mensah praised the organisation’s efforts to engage with schools in educating and sensitising young people about environmental cleanliness and healthy lifestyles. He also highlighted its support for schools and communities through the donation of dustbins, cleaning equipment and other materials aimed at improving sanitation and reducing litter.
The MCE singled out Shape Attitude Ghana's commitment to promoting positive behavioural change as one of its most admirable achievements, noting that the organisation continues to influence attitudes towards environmental responsibility through consistent advocacy and public education.
Expressing appreciation for the organisation's contributions to the people of Effutu and surrounding communities, Hon. Mensah assured Shape Attitude Ghana of the Municipal Assembly's readiness to collaborate more closely with the organisation.
He indicated that the Assembly would explore various avenues of support, including incorporating assistance for Shape Attitude Ghana into its annual plans and budget, facilitating partnerships with relevant institutions and agencies and mobilising volunteers to support the organisation's activities.
"Shape Attitude Ghana is one of the leading environmental cleanliness advocacy organisations in Ghana, and we look forward to seeing the organisation achieve even greater success in the months and years ahead," he stated.
The endorsement comes as Shape Attitude Ghana continues to expand its environmental education and community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering cleaner, healthier and more sustainable communities across Ghana.
