Shape Attitude Ghana personnel receive training

Three personnel of Shape Attitude Ghana attended a day’s training workshop for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community based organisations (CBOs) organised by the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development of the Cape Coast Metropolitan area. The workshop with the theme “The role of NGOs in contemporary society and organisational branding” was held in Cape Coast on 13th September 2016 at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Hall.  The training was meant to provide NGOs and CBOs with some tools for effective running of their organisations and also discuss issues of common interest.

Topics covered included branding, good proposal writing, mobilisation of resources, proper accountability, effective internal control systems, proper book keeping and reporting.

Seventy-five NGOs and CBOs in the Cape Coast Metropolis were invited to the workshop. Mr Ebenezer Amofa Appiah, the NGO Desk Officer of the Department of Social Welfare was the moderator. The three personnel from Shape Attitude Ghana were Wonderful Baisie Ghartey, Founder of Shape Attitude Ghana; Dr David Essaw, Research Fellow from the University of Cape Coast and Technical Adviser to Shape Attitude Ghana; and Ms Anna Obir-Bonney, Health Promotion Officer from the Ghana Health Service.
